Terms of Service
Effective September 6, 2026 · Last updated September 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — e.g. StudentHubAI LLC, or your full legal name if sole proprietor] (“StudentHubAI”, “we”, “us”), covering your use of https://studenthubai.app and every feature offered through it (the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use StudentHubAI
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and only that parent or guardian may enter into a paid subscription on your behalf.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at support@studenthubai.app and we will delete it.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your password secure. Accounts are personal. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use your subscription.
2. Free trial
New accounts receive a free trial. The standard trial is 7 days. Some referral and creator codes extend it, and the length that applies to you is shown in your account before any charge is made.
Your trial converts into a paid subscription automatically when it ends, unless you cancel before then. We collect payment details only when you choose to subscribe. You can cancel at any point during the trial and you will not be charged.
3. Subscriptions, automatic renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are offered on these terms:
| Plan | Price | Renews |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $5.99 per month | Every month |
| Semester | $19.99 every 4 months ($5.00 per month) | Every 4 months |
| Annual | $49 per year ($4.08 per month) | Every 12 months |
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price for another period of the same length, until you cancel. There is no separate reminder before each renewal.
How to cancel
Cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription inside your account, or by emailing support@studenthubai.app. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not retroactively refund a period that has already started, except where section 4 or applicable law says otherwise.
Price changes
We may change prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days notice by email before the new price applies to your subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Any price change applies only to renewals after the notice period, never to a period you have already paid for.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features until the payment succeeds.
4. Refunds
If you are charged and are not satisfied, email support@studenthubai.app within 14 days of the charge and we will refund that billing period in full. We may decline repeat refund requests on the same account, or refunds where the account shows substantial use of paid AI features during the period.
Nothing here limits refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer law of your state or country, which apply in addition to this policy.
5. Academic integrity: read this one
StudentHubAI generates study material, drafts and explanations. It is a study aid. It is your responsibility to use it in a way that complies with the academic-honesty policy of your school, course and instructor.
Those policies vary enormously. Some courses permit AI assistance freely, some require it to be disclosed, and some prohibit it outright. We do not know which applies to you, and we cannot give you permission your institution has not given. Submitting AI-generated work as your own where that is not allowed can carry serious consequences, including failing grades and disciplinary action.
You agree that you are solely responsible for how you use the output, and that we are not liable for any academic, disciplinary or professional consequence that results from it.
6. AI output is not guaranteed to be correct
Every AI feature on the Service, including homework help, essay drafting, practice tests, study guides, citation checking, transcription and the AI assistant, can produce output that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or entirely fabricated. This is a known property of the underlying technology, not a defect we can promise to remove.
Verify anything that matters before you rely on it. Citations in particular should be confirmed against the original source. The Service does not provide medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and output should never be treated as such.
7. Recording lectures and uploading material
The Service can record and transcribe audio. Laws on recording conversations differ by state and country, and several states require the consent of everyone being recorded. Many institutions also have their own rules about recording classes.
You are responsible for obtaining any permission required before you record, and for complying with your institution’s policy. Do not record where you are not permitted to.
When you upload notes, readings, slides, textbooks or recordings, you confirm that you have the right to do so. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break the law, or to infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
- Take an exam, quiz or assessment through the Service where doing so is prohibited by the body administering it.
- Generate content that harasses, threatens, defames or sexualises any person, or that sexualises minors in any way.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, budgets or rate limits, including through multiple accounts.
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or its output as a competing product.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, probe or attack the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malware, or content that would put other users or our providers at risk.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, and where the breach is serious we may do so without notice.
9. Your content
Your content stays yours. Notes, recordings, essays, uploads and anything the Service generates for you remain your property.
You grant us a limited licence to host, store, transmit and process that content strictly to operate the Service for you: to run it through the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, to generate the output you asked for, to back it up and to display it back to you. This licence exists only so the Service can function, and ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train AI models. Our AI providers process it to return a result to you under their own commercial terms.
10. Our content
The Service itself, including its software, design, text and the StudentHubAI name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is in good standing, and nothing more.
University names and logos shown on our site are the trademarks of their respective owners. Their appearance indicates that students at those institutions have used the Service. It does not indicate any endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship or partnership.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@studenthubai.app including: your contact details; identification of the work; the location of the material on the Service; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your signature.
We remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.
12. Availability and changes to the Service
We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature that is material to your subscription, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.
Some features carry fair-use limits so that a small number of accounts cannot exhaust shared AI capacity. Where a limit applies, it is shown in the product.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to the accuracy or reliability of AI output.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our suppliers are liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or academic, disciplinary or reputational harm, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you upload or generate, including any claim brought by your educational institution.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice by email or in the product at least 30 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — e.g. New York], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to bring any dispute in the state or federal courts located in [STATE — e.g. New York], and each of us consents to their jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email support@studenthubai.app. Nearly everything is faster to fix that way, and we will make a genuine effort to resolve it.
Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in small-claims court, or from exercising rights under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
